A long overdue PSA
I’ve been sitting on this for a few weeks, but I thought I should share it with all of you who have been desperately wondering what I thought about the beef between 50 Cent and The Game:
50 Cents Does More Shit On NYC Radio That I Don’t Give A Fuck About.
Mr. SergDun has graciously seen fit to cover almost everything that is wrong with the world of hip hop in this fair city. Not only does he make the all-important point that Hot97 is garbage, but he specifically points out that Funkmaster Flex is the head garbageman, spewing useless nonsense directly into our ears every day via the trunk-mounted woofers of Escalades everywhere. “#1 Station of Gossiping Bitches”, indeed. Well done, Serg, well done.

radio in nyc sucks almost universally. why should hot97 be any different?
Only because, as Serg puts it, they “think they are the goddamn CNN of this rap shit”. They act like hip hop would die without them, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Not every radio station in NYC acts like they’re the be all and end all of their format, though they do all suck, of course. There is some good shit on NYU radio, but you’re probably too far away to receive it; my parents can’t even get it.
heh. i have never listened to nyu radio. but medgar evars radio is pretty decent. although, i used to receive it only when i was driving back to philly from your old apt, so i only know their sunday format.
