Back to save the universe.

So all you faithful readers out there have no doubt noticed that there’s been no new posts in the last 3 weeks or so. In that time you have also been unable to post any comments or trackbacks. This is not my fault. MySQL is a fickle mistress, and she hast verily done me wrong.

What is my fault is the fact that you only see this entry on the front page, where once there were many. Because I didn’t backup my server in general, nor did I specifically export my blog entries, there are no more old entries. But for the grace of the Moveable Type gods, those pearls of wisdom would be lost to future generations. However, in their infinite wisdom, said MT gods decided to make a system that generates static pages, instead of dynamically generating the pages from the database. This and only this is the reason that all the old entries are still accessible. Comments are closed on all of them, but hey, you had your chance.

And lest I forget, fuck Kung-Log. Blog-breaking POS.

Good to have you back in the blogosphere, my boy. We missed you. Let’s hope that mySQL will be kinder to you this time around.

Too bad I never got a chance to comment on that “classical” entry. I would have had a lot to say.

Kung-Log isn’t really worth the effort Kung-Tunes, on the other hand, well that’s that shit, no doubt. ;)

MySQL has nothing but love for me ^_^. You want pain? Try Access. *shudder* Microsoft is pure evil, I tell you. They’re really good at taking simple, stable, secure technologies, and ruining them. Just look at what they did to email, for crying out loud. I guess they give script kiddies something to do though… keeps ‘em from joining gangs.

Seriously though, what went wrong? Was it software or hardware?

    Also, hi there!

Holy shit, this I never thought I’d see. Antares on my blog? This kid and I went to Camp Killooleet together like ten years ago or some shit.

There’s a good story behind the name, too. Every year the campers play an All-Star softball game against the counselors, and the most important part of it is coming up with an All-Star name that is supposed to be some kind of a pun on your real name, which is then turned into your All-Star shirt. Antares and I had problems, though. Nothing rhymes with Antares, and the only things that rhyme with Evan are stupid and gay (at least for an All-Star name), like Heaven. So in a flash of post-modern brilliance, Antares decides we shall be “DJ Jazzy Antares and the Fresh Evan”. Long story slightly less long, we had the dopest…shirts…ever.
