Re-visiting their webiste, I've realized that I actually agree with these nuts on one point. I am also in favor of repealing the 17th Amendment. The Senate was supposed to be an aristocratic check on the vulgarities of the populist House. Now, with gerrymandering, we have a House which is much more rigid, and a Senate which must pander to the public. It's not right that special (but not necessarily evil-let's not forget that the ACLU is technically a special interest) interests should have a greater hold on the body more closely in tune with local and domestic affairs, while idiots who think Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11 get to vote directly for representatives of entire states who are empowered to give 'advice and consent' to the President on treaties, etc.
